Answer:
Using the formula: Chord length = 2√(r² – d²)

Answer:
Area = l × b = 12 × 5 = 60 cm²

Perimeter = 2(l + b) = 2(12 + 5) = 2 × 17 = 34 cm

Diagonal = √(l² + b²) = √(12² + 5²) = √(144 + 25) = √169 = 13 cm

Answer:
Circumference = 2πr
= 2 × (22/7) × 21
= 132 m

(b) Find the area of the park. (1 mark)

Answer:
Area = πr²

= (22/7) × 441
= 1386 m²

(c) If the walking track is 3.5 m wide, find the area of the track. (2 marks)

Answer:
Outer radius = 21 + 3.5 = 24.5 m
Area of track = π(R² – r²)
= (22/7) × (24.5² – 21²)
= (22/7) × (600.25 – 441)
= (22/7) × 159.25
= 500.5 m²

Answer:
d = 550 – 500 = ₹50

(b) Find the nth term formula for this AP. (1 mark)

Answer:
aₙ = a + (n – 1)d
aₙ = 500 + (n – 1)(50)
= 500 + 50n – 50
= 50n + 450

(c) What will be the deposit in the 12th month? (2 marks)

Answer:
a₁₂ = 50(12) + 450
